What was the highlight of Amaya Beach Passikudah

Very Good

The location was perfect, the food was really tasty, breakfast was good, The Honey Beach Club was a great spot to chill for sundowners and with Dhanu our resident Barman serving us the coldest beers on the island, it was even better. The spa was really good also, I highly recommend it and of course an old friend in Danushka who works in the pool restaurant area, it was always a pleasure. The bed was very comfortable also.

I think the pool cleanliness needed a bit more attention and the mini bar fridge could have been colder.

Lovely relaxing hotel, super friendly staff.

The staff were really friendly including the manager, we got a free upgrade which we were really greatful for, beautiful location right by the beach. It was really quiet when we were here which we liked but I’m not sure what it would be like in main season.

There was a wedding on our last night which was really noisy and unfortunately we wasn’t informed until after the band had started. I did speak to the manager who was apologetic and offered us another room and the music was off by 10.15pm.

Great place to stay

The staff was helpful and kind. The service was great. The room was spacious and clean. A perfect place to rest and enjoy the beach. Our room link directly to the pool and beach. They allocated a cot for our baby. The sunset is beautiful so you can enjoy a drink at the outside bar.

Staff are excellent, polite , efficient and helpful. Location is excellent with wide water view

Basically none , but just a suggestion in the spa there is no drinks available such as fresh juice before and after massages.

- Beach in-front of the hotel full of rocks and not good for swimming. Note that within walking distance there is a public beach. - we faced an issue with checkin but the manager compensated with late checkout

Very nice and relaxing stay

The Dining Staff were very helpful, they made our stay very memorable as they went out of their way to meet all our requests especially Uditha and his colleagues. Nice hotel, big and spacious, perfect for relaxing.

Confusion in general at the Front Desk at Check-in, Staff needs to improve in their internal communications. Although the hotel had a private beach, it was a let down since it's mostly made up of the coral reef, making swimming or walking impossible. the hotel should do more to recommend bathing spots to the guests.

Best Esperience on entire trip.

Excellent facilities. Great restaurant. Service was great. The staff was very attentive. The best experience I had on my entire trip of 19 days including 5 cities in Sri Lanka and 2 cities in India.

Beautiful hotel but not quite value for money

Hotel is so beautiful - big and clean. Rooms very nice with big bed, beautiful bathroom, great air con. Good staff, sent a cake over as we are newly married which was a nice touch, also the staff always say hi when they see you which is really nice. Buffet breakfast was quite nice with a chef making hoppers on request. Nice atmosphere, clean and well kept.

Need more vegetarian options on a-La-Carte menu. Also would be great if the pool were kept a bit colder as the ocean is also very warm so there really isn’t a way to cool down in the heat. The beach in front of the hotel is not swimmable (at check in we were told not to swim in front of the hotel and to go to the beach to the left) and honestly quite dirty. They charge for drinking water which is a bit disappointing given it’s a nice hotel. Buffet dinner was quite expensive for what it was….Also would appreciate if the hotel had Coke Zero /Diet Coke.

Amazing hotel with beautiful views

Very friendly staff and amazing amenities. They really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The kitchen staff and cleaning staff were particularly lovely. Our children had the best time!

The beach behind the hotel could not be used due to coral, which was not clear on booking. There is a wonderful pool and a swimmable beach close by however

Spectacular

The staff were unbelievable. All so friendly and helpful. It was great to just have a chat with them as they were all so nice. The property has everything you could want!! There was plenty off staff working so the place is kept so well and you are never waiting for anything you need! I don’t leave many reviews but I had to for this hotel!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this part of Sri Lanka and looking for a nice relaxing break as we were after travelling around the country for the first week of our trip!
